Subject: Federal Student Aid Customer Service Center Information
At this time we want to remind the financial aid community of Federal Student Aid’s customer service center resources. Over the past year, Federal Student Aid has added new customer service centers, and we want to ensure the community has the most accurate contact information available.
Federal Student Aid’s customer service centers are available to assist schools, third party servicers, lenders, guaranty agencies, students, and parents when they have questions or concerns related to the financial aid process. These resources allow a customer to go directly to the source to get specialized help. Contacting the customer service centers during their operating hours is the most efficient way to resolve a problem and find the answer to a question. The contact information available includes toll-free phone numbers and Web site information for easy access.
Contact information for customer service centers is available via the Contact Information page on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site. This page has four separate boxes that group the available resources and customer service centers by type.
- Clicking on Service Centers for Schools provides a listing of service centers helpful to schools in administering the Title IV student aid programs.
- Clicking on Service Centers for Students provides a listing of service centers helpful to students in applying for and processing Title IV federal student aid.
- Clicking on Federal Student Aid Offices provides a listing of Federal Student Aid offices helpful in administering the Title IV federal student aid programs.
- Clicking on Quick Reference to Call Centers provides a complete listing of all contact information for all of these resources in one PDF file.
Each page lists the name of the customer service center and its primary phone number. Click on the MORE button next to the name of the center to access all other phone numbers, fax numbers, Web site addresses, e-mail addresses, and operating hours for that center.
