SUMMARY: This letter announces a conference for Third Party Servicers sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education August 27-28 in Arlington, VA.
The U.S. Department of Education (ED) cordially invites you to attend a conference for Third Party Servicers. This conference will be held August 27-28, 1998 in Arlington, VA. This conference will offer participants an opportunity to learn more about and provide comments on the Department's electronic Title IV application systems. We hope this conference will provide you with timely information necessary for development of your systems. The sessions and presentations include:

* CPS & Title IV WAN
* Direct Loan Origination
* Direct Loan Servicing & Central Database
* EDE & Direct Loan Technical Specification Change & Update
