Subject: Live Internet Webinars - Gainful Employment: Interpreting the GE Completers List and How to Submit a Challenge to the GE Completers List
Summary: This letter announces two instructor-led, online training sessions that will provide information about the GE Completers List that will be pushed to schools later this year from NSLDS, including how to interpret the data and how to submit a challenge to the data.
Dear Colleague:
We are pleased to announce two upcoming webinars that will provide schools with information about the gainful employment (GE) Completers List. The GE Completers List is a list of students who completed a GE program during the applicable cohort period, using data provided by the school. In the coming weeks, the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) will generate and send a Draft GE Completers List to each school. Schools will have 45 days to review and challenge the information in the file. NSLDS will then send each school its Final GE Completers List.
The first webinar, titled "Interpreting the GE Completers List" will describe the GE Completers List and the origin of the data included on it. We will describe the various data fields on the list, and how to read and interpret the information. In addition, we will also discuss the GE Completers List Report, a school-requested report that will provide the data that was used to create the school's GE Completers List. This training is intended for school personnel who will be working with the GE Completers List and who need to understand how to effectively manage and respond to the data.
Federal Student Aid staff will present this webinar in a 90 minute session offered on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. (ET).

The second webinar, titled "How to Submit a Challenge to the GE Completers List" will discuss the process for schools to submit data challenges to the Draft GE Completers List using the soon-to-be-released Web-based application, the Data Challenges and Appeals Solution (DCAS).
Federal Student Aid staff will present this webinar in a 90 minute session offered on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. (ET).

Advance registration is required for this training and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To allow for as many participants as possible, we strongly encourage groups to view the webinar from a single location if accommodations allow. If viewing as a group, only one person from the group needs to register.
Once registered, we will send an e-mail confirmation to the trainee. The trainee should retain this confirmation, as it contains important information, including linking and log in information for the Web site, system test links, and cancellation information. If unable to attend, we request that the trainee cancel his or her registration so that individuals who wish to attend may do so.
PowerPoint slides will be available for each trainee to download after he or she signs in to the webinar. During the webinar, trainees will be able to ask questions electronically using their computers.
