Renee began her career with the U.S Department of Education’s office of Federal Student Aid in 1996. She worked in Direct Loan servicing, but soon moved into Direct Loan origination. She managed the development of two projects: the first website to review Direct Loan originations by financial aid administrators and the first electronic Master Promissory Note.
She also managed the implementation of the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website and ensured that financial aid administrators could create and correct origination records online.
Renee is currently the project manager for the implementation of the upcoming FAFSA Processing System (FPS), which will process FAFSA submissions. FPS will replace the existing Central Processing System starting with the 2024¬¬-2025 application cycle.
