Matt Brown is a Training Officer with the Office of Partner Participation and Oversight, which is part of the U.S. Department of Education’s office of Federal Student Aid (FSA). In this position, Matt prepares and presents materials to train college financial aid administrators on all aspects of Title IV aid. Matt joined FSA’s Finance Office in 2016. In his first position, Matt helped his colleagues with their training, administrative, and travel needs. In 2018, Matt moved to the office of Student Experience and Aid Delivery, where he worked on the FAFSA® form. Prior to joining FSA, Matt was a Peace Corps volunteer in the Federated States of Micronesia, where he served as an English as a Second Language instructor. Before his Peace Corps service, Matt was a special education teacher at the Kingsbury Center in Washington, D.C. Matt graduated from Oberlin College with a Bachelor of Arts in history. He currently lives in Maryland with his wife and cat.
