As acting deputy chief operating officer for Partner Participation and Oversight (PPO), Margaret (Meg) Glick is responsible for activities that support and monitor approximately 5,400 program participants and enforce compliance with laws and regulations governing student financial assistance programs. The activities within PPO cover the entire lifecycle of program participants designed to protect students, borrowers, and taxpayers. Glick brings first-hand knowledge of the requirements necessary to serve students, parents, borrowers, and the schools that participate in the federal student aid programs. She brings a holistic view of Federal Student Aid’s (FSA’s) work that enables her to enhance how PPO partners with offices and teams across FSA to fulfill its mission.
Glick has worked at FSA since 2016, beginning as a program analyst and, eventually, serving as director of program management services. In this role, she was responsible for operations of the Common Origination and Disbursement system and managed numerous divisions for the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, grants and campus-based funds, funds control, and program training and school communications. She also served as director of the Next Gen Program Office where—among other things—she oversaw FSA’s successful launch of new and enhanced digital tools and resources for customers, onboarding of new customer support vendors, and creation of a single data platform that houses and integrates a vast amount of FSA’s current and future systems data. Most recently, Glick served as FSA’s chief information officer. In that role, Glick had primary responsibility for managing information technology services for all FSA systems, in addition to serving as senior executive for the the Next Gen Program Office.
Before joining FSA, Glick worked at DePaul University in Chicago in a number of senior administrative roles, including director of operations in the Office of Financial Aid. She also has held positions at Sallie Mae.
Glick has a B.A. in political science from DePaul University.
She is married and resides with her husband on Chicago’s northside, where she cheers on the Cubs, frequents many favorite neighborhood restaurants, and serves at the pleasure of her dog, Bix.
