Byron Scott is a case manager for the Multi-Regional and Foreign Schools Participation Division, coordinating oversight activities for a number of publicly traded or large schools. He is based in Chicago and has been working for the U.S. Department of Education’s office of Federal Student Aid for more than 32 years. He began his federal career in Washington, DC, working with the Default Management and State Liaison offices. He worked for the Chicago/Denver School Participation Division as a financial analyst and program reviewer for 15 years. During that time, he also reviewed eligibility applications, resolved audits, and conducted training. He served as a training officer from 2010 to 2014, developing and delivering training to college and university financial aid staff. Prior to joining ED, he worked in the admission offices of two private colleges.
