Enclosure B RAD REQUEST OPTIONS TABLE For Requests Made during Bulk Mail Period (10/2/00 – 10/27/00) (NOTE: In the table below, the “RAD Option Selected” choices are fields you will be populating when submitting your 2001-2002 RAD request. The values listed represent the following: Electronic RAD File reflects your choice of whether or not you wish to receive the electronic RAD file RADD02OP. CPS Print reflects whether or not you wish to request printed Renewal FAFSAs be mailed to your school for your distribution. PIN Mailers reflects whether or not you wish to have the CPS send Renewal FAFSA on the Web PIN mailers directly to your students instead of paper Renewal FAFSAs.) Electronic RAD File = Y CPS Print = N PIN Mailers = N The CPS will send an electronic file under the RADD02OP message class. The file will include any student listing your school code, or the specific SSN/Name IDs requested via Type 2. PIN Flag (pos 401) will indicate if any student(s) qualified for PIN mailers.The school must print, distribute, data enter, and export ALL Renewal FAFSAs for students in the electronic RAD file. The CPS will not send paper Renewal FAFSAs to students included in the electronic RAD file. Your school is the only source for students to receive renewal application form. 2. Electronic RAD File = Y CPS Print = Y PIN Mailers = N The CPS will send an electronic file under the RADD02OP message class. The file will include any student listing your school code, or the specific SSN/Name IDs requested via Type 2. PIN Flag (pos 401) will indicate if any student(s) qualified for PIN mailers. The CPS prints Renewal FAFSAs for requested students. The CPS will not send paper Renewal FAFSAs to students qualifying for PIN mailers.The school must distribute ALL paper Renewal FAFSAs received to ALL students. The school can use RAD data to enter and export Renewal FAFSAs to CPS if they choose. The CPS will not send paper Renewal FAFSAs to students included in the RAD file. Your school is the only source for students to receive Renewal FAFSA form. 3. Electronic RAD File = Y CPS Print = N PIN Mailers = Y The CPS will send an electronic File under the RADD02OP message class. The file will include any student listing your school code, or the specific SSN/Name IDs requested via Type 2. The CPS will not send paper Renewal FAFSAs and PIN Mailers to the school. The school has no obligation since PIN mailers are sent to students. If your school wishes to print paper Renewal FAFSAs from the RAD file, your school can distribute to students, but your school is the only source for entering and exporting Renewal FAFSA data from those completed forms to the CPS.The CPS will send PIN mailers to students listing your school code and the only means for filing Renewal FAFSA data is via Renewal FAFSA on the Web. 4. Electronic RAD File = N CPS Print = Y PIN Mailers = N The CPS prints Renewal FAFSAs for requested students. The CPS will NOT send Paper Renewal FAFSAs to students qualifying for PIN mailers. The CPS will not send an electronic File under the RADD02OP message class. A later request for this electronic file will result in an error file indicating duplicate record requested.The school must distribute ALL Renewal FAFSAs to ALL students. School can data enter and export Renewal FAFSAs to CPS. The CPS will not send paper Renewal FAFSAs to students included in the file. Your school is the only source for students to receive the Renewal FAFSA form. 5. Electronic RAD File = N CPS Print = N PIN Mailers = Y The CPS will send no information to the school. The CPS will NOT send an electronic file under the RADD02OP message class. A later request for this electronic file will result in an error file indicating duplicate record requested. The CPS will not send paper Renewal FAFSAs or PIN mailers to the school. The school has no obligation since PIN mailers are sent to students. The CPS will send PIN mailers to students listing your school code and their only means for filing Renewal FAFSA data is via Renewal FAFSA on the Web. The CPS will not send school-requested PIN Mailers to students already receiving PIN Mailers. NOTE: NOTE: CPS Print = Y and PIN Mailers = Y is not allowed. CPS will not allow a request to print paper renewal applications and PIN Mailers for students listing your school code. School must select either paper renewal applications or PIN Mailers, if selecting more than the electronic RAD file. Electronic RAD File = N, CPS Print = N, and PIN Mailers = N is not allowed. School must request one form of output to be sent to students or to school.
