The Funding Cancellation Deadline occurs five years after the Data Submission (Closeout) Deadline for Federal Pell Grant/Iraq Afghanistan Service Grant (IASG) and Campus-Based Programs. These programs are subject to annual appropriations by Congress, and all funding is canceled and activity ceases in COD five years after the end of the award year for which funds have been appropriated. After that time, schools will be unable to draw down further funds via the G6 website, and the COD System will be completely closed to any further award or disbursement processing for that award year. Schools must complete all final reconciliation activities to a $0 cash balance well before this final deadline and in accordance with disbursement reporting timelines and cash management regulations. Keep in mind that late reported changes may not have the requisite time for processing through G6 and/or COD.

Note: There is no funding cancellation deadline for Direct Loans or Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grants.
