Student Tuition and Transparency System Information

The Student Tuition and Transparency System (STATS) and Earnings Accountability Final Regulations were published on July 1, 2026. These regulations require institutions of higher education to report certain information to the U.S. Department of Education (ED) annually and to review reports that ED generates based on existing enrollment data in the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS®), as well as make any necessary revisions. ED will use this data to provide valuable transparency information to students, stakeholders, and the public as required under the regulations. This page serves as a repository for information, guidance, and training related to the STATS and earnings accountability.

The Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) regulations remain in effect until June 30, 2027. On July 1, 2027, the STATS and earnings accountability regulations will replace the FVT/GE regulations.
