Subject: Technical Reference for FISAP Due by October 1, 2012
Note: On August 22, 2012, we replaced the 2013-2014 FISAP Technical Reference. The updated version reflects corrections to page 2-2 and field 73 on page 3-22 that erroneously indicated the award year for Pell Grant expenditures as 2012-2013. It has been corrected to reference the 2011-2012 Award Year.
The Technical Reference for the Fiscal Operations Report for 2011-2012 and the Application to Participate for 2013-2014 (FISAP), used in administering the Federal Perkins Loan (Perkins Loan), Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), and Federal Work Study (FWS) programs is attached.
This document provides programmer specifications and record layouts for schools or other organizations that wish to design custom software systems to interface with the U.S. Department of Education's FISAP on the Web process. The technical reference includes the system modifications for processing the FISAP that schools must submit by October 1, 2012.
