Dear Partner:
We are pleased to announce that we have completed a revised version of the Entrance Counseling Guide for Direct Loan Borrowers! This publication is now available to order through the normal distribution process described in the Direct Loan Publications Ordering and Reference Guide attached to DLB 04 09 at http://www.ifap.ed.gov/dlbulletins/DLB0409.html/. Shortly, the publication (in PDF format) will also be available on the Direct Loan web site, www.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/DirectLoan/pubs/profpubs.html/, under Forms and Publications.
We will begin shipping orders for the Entrance Counseling Guide on May 3, 2004. The Item Number for the Entrance Counseling Guide is DSL048. You may order the guide in any amount, but given the high demand for this publication, we ask that you limit your order to the amount you expect to use.
As a reminder, your students may complete entrance counseling on the Direct Loan Servicing web site, www.dl.ed.gov/. We encourage you to use this electronic counseling resource because it is a complete, comprehensive, and interactive way for your students to receive the required entrance counseling. Additionally, electronic entrance counseling offers an opportunity for your students to be introduced to and become familiar with the Direct Loan Servicing Center and its web site at the beginning of their Direct Loan experience.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we developed our new counseling materials. We look forward to continuing our publications improvement process and hope to provide more quality products in the near future.
If you have any questions about this bulletin or ordering other Direct Loan publications, you may contact the COD School Relations Center at 800/848 0978. You may also e mail inquiries to codsupport@acs-inc.com.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in the Direct Loan Program.
Sincerely,
Jane Holman
