Subject: How to Change Your Funding Method
Dear Partner,
We have recently received several inquiries from schools that have requested to change funding methods. We realize that different funding options work better for different schools and as a result, we have established a simple process to accommodate your requests.
If you would like to switch funding methods, please contact COD School Relations at 800/848-0978 or email codsupport@acs-inc.com to request this change. Your request will be routed through FSA for approval and will become effective in about two weeks from the request date. Funding method changes will apply to all open program years and will apply to any additional locations associated with the request. In order for your request to be processed properly, please include the following information:
· Your school's OPE ID
· Your school's RID/COD ID
· Contact person at school who is making the request (email address and phone number)
· The above numbers for any additional location related to the your school, regardless of who actually does the reporting for those locations.
If you switch to the Advanced Funding method, you will need a GAPS user ID and password to make payment requests. For more information about getting access to GAPS, please visit https://e-grants.ed.gov/gapsweb/faq.htm#started or contact the GAPS helpdesk at 888/336-8930. If you switch to Pushed Cash, remember to begin looking in your SAIG mailbox for your funded disbursement lists.
If your school is on a monitoring status, including Heightened Cash Monitoring (HCM) 1, HCM 2 or Reimbursement, you are limited in your options. HCM 1 schools may change only from Advanced Funding to Pushed Cash. HCM 2 and Reimbursement schools are not eligible to change funding methods.
If you have any questions, please contact the COD School Relation Center. Thank you for your ongoing partnership in the Direct Loan Program.
Sincerely,
Jane Holman
