Subject: Direct Loan Drawdown Data Cleanup for 2002-2003
Dear Partner:
Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) has corrected the inaccurate Direct Loan cash information that was in the system. These data issues have not affected all schools, so the information in this bulletin may not apply to you. However, schools that have had inaccurate cash data should now see the corrections on both the COD website (with the exception of the Summary Financial Page) and within the School Account Statement (SAS).
We will send a new June SAS report to affected schools only. You will receive a Year-To-Date Cash Summary and a Year-to-date Cash Detail File as of June 30, 2003, regardless of the SAS format options currently set for your school. Please be assured that this special run will not permanently change your SAS format options.
If you do not receive a report, but have an issue with any cash data COD has reported for your school, please contact COD School Relations immediately so that we can research the discrepancies. Otherwise, you may assume your current June SAS report is correct.
As a final reminder, pushed cash schools should not send refunds of cash back to COD if they expect to disburse in the near future (within the cash guidelines). Please refer to DLB 02-30 issued in September 2002 for additional information.
If you have questions about this bulletin, please contact COD School Relations at 800/848-0978 or by email at codsupport@acs-inc.com. Thank you for your ongoing partnership in the Direct Loan Program.
Sincerely,
Jane Holman
