Subject:� Correction to 2002-2003 Direct Loan Technical Reference Regarding the 2002-2003 School Account Statement Report Layout
Dear Partner:
We want to notify you of a correction to the technical report layout for the 2002-2003 School Account Statement (SAS). The Direct Loan Technical Reference for 2002-2003 (SAS Record Layout p.1-111) currently states fields 20-23 in Section VII Loan Detail, Disbursement Activity Level (Record Type "D") can be blank. This is incorrect. "Can Be Blank" is NOT a valid value for fields 20-23. Additionally, fields 11-14 in Section VI Loan Detail, Loan Level (Record Type "L") indicate that valid field content is limited to a numeric value greater than zero. This is also incorrect.
For the affected fields, the valid value content should be a numeric value greater than or equal to zero.
COD has implemented the change with the December SAS report. For all schools that have programmed report layouts using the technical reference, we request that you implement this change as soon as possible. For schools that use EDExpress for their reporting needs, you may disregard this notice.
