Attached are the updated income percentage factors chart and 2001 US Department of Health and Human Service's (HHS) Poverty Guidelines. The income percentage factors and the HHS Poverty Guidelines are used to calculate a borrower's payment amount under the Income Contingent Repayment Plan. The HHS Poverty Guidelines are also used in determining a borrower's eligibility for an Economic Hardship Deferment.
