We want to bring to your attention that, effective immediately, the Compass Bank will no longer accept Excess Cash/Borrower Payment Transmittals.

If you return excess cash by ACH or FEDWIRE, please return the money to:

In the beneficiary section of the wire, include the Direct Loan School Code, Program Year (PY), and the words "Excess Cash" -- for example, G00000, PY 99/00, Excess Cash.

This information follows up on the information we provided in Direct Loan Bulletin 00-19.
