If you are eligible to make loans against an MPN from a previous academic year, but do not want to use this option for ANY of your students, please submit your request in writing on official school letterhead to: U.S. Department of Education Student Financial Assistance Direct Loan Operations/Schools Channel 400 Maryland Avenue, SW ROB 3, Room 5036 Washington, DC 20202-5162 Once we receive your request, we will process your loans as if a new note is required for each new academic year. If at some point in the future you decide you do want to use the multi-year feature of the MPN, you will need to send another letter asking to use the multi-year feature.
