| PublicationDate: 10/1/99 BulletinID: DLB - 99 - 63 October 1999 DLB-99-63 Subject: The Direct Loan Task Force Dear Partner: We want to bring you up to date on how the Direct Loan Task Force fits into the new organization at the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA). The Task Force, in name, no longer exists. However, our commitment to the Direct Loan program remains, and the people who worked on the Task Force remain. We still intend to provide you with the best level of service. OSFA is composed of three main channels: Students, Schools, and Financial Partners. The staff of the former Task Force is now under the Schools channel headed by Kay Jacks. As the Acting Leader for Title IV Delivery programs within the Schools channel, I will continue to oversee Direct Loans along with the Pell, Campus-Based, PEPS, and Customer Service areas. The immediate responsibility for Direct Loan operations will fall to Sarah Utz, who is the Acting Team Leader for Direct Loan Operations. DL Operations comprises the former Task Force staff plus those persons from the Direct Loan operations area in the former Accounting and Financial Management Service.
