Subject: Further Information on Ordering Master Promissory Notes from the LOC

Dear Colleague:

This bulletin follows up on Direct Loan Bulletin 99-19, which discussed ordering and using the Direct Loan master promissory notes and other forms for 1999-2000.

There has been some confusion about which version of the master promissory note (MPN) a school should order. Schools that use EDExpress to print notes should order the master promissory note without data labels. EDExpress software can print the MPN with only the data labels, or it can print the labels and the borrower information. For either option, you must use the MPN without data labels.

Thank you for your continued support of the Direct Loan Program.

Sincerely,

Margaret E. White
