| PublicationDate: 3/1/99 BulletinID: DLB - 99 - 12 March 1999 DLB 99-12 Subject: Follow Up Information on DLB 99-07 (GAPS Records and File Layout) Dear Colleague: In Direct Loan Bulletin 99-07, we provided information on how schools could send electronic batches of Direct Loan drawdown requests to GAPS. This functionality was to replace the drawdown function no longer supported by the EDExpress Direct Loan software. GAPS has told us that the process described in DLB 99-07 will not work at this time. We hope we will be able to offer this drawdown option in the future. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this has caused you, and we appreciate your ongoing support of the Direct Loan Program.
