PublicationDate: 2/1/99 BulletinID: DLB - 99 - 8 February 1999 DLB 99-08 Subject: Program Years 1995-96 and 1996-97 Closeout Dear Colleague, The Loan Origination Center (LOC) will send new 732-LOS reports to all schools that participated in program years 1995-96 and 1996-97 early next week. The message classes for these reports are DIS497OP for the summary report and DIS597OP for the detail report. The reports will present the Departments ending cash balance for your school for those program years and reflect activity processed since the July 31, 1998, submission deadline (see DLB-98-33). These reports are in addition to the program year 1997-98 732-LOS reports you will also receive early next week. No further action is required on your part if your institution has already received a negative balance letter or a letter stating that program years 1995-96 and 1996-97 are closed. This bulletin and 732-LOS are for informational purposes only. Please review the reports carefully. If you have questions or concerns about the data please contact the Accounting and Financial Management Service (AFMS) at 202/205-6466, not the LOC, no later than 5PM EST, Monday, March 1, 1999. Please do not send data or information to the LOC or to AFMS at this time. AFMS will work with you individually to resolve any remaining issues. Thank you for your patience and assistance in closing out the 1995-96 and 1996-97 program years. We recognize that this has been a long and tedious process. Our goal is to improve the closeout process for the 1997-1998 program year and we look forward to working with you on that. If you have any additional questions about this bulletin, please contact AFMS at the number above. Sincerely, Linda L. Paulsen, Director Accounting and Financial Management Service Margaret E.
