| PublicationDate: 10/1/98 BulletinID: DLB - 98 - 36 October 1998 DLB-98-36 Subject: Direct Loan PLUS Credit Decisions Dear Colleague: This message is to remind you about the way the LOC tells you about credit decisions for l998-99 Direct PLUS loans. PLUS origination record acknowledgments from the LOC (message class DIPF99OP) can have one of four values in the Full Loan Origination Status Flag field (please refer to page 2-11 of the Direct Loan Technical Reference, 2/98): C Accepted Origination/Credit Check Accepted D Accepted Origination/Credit Check Denied X Accepted Origination/Credit Check PendingR Rejected Origination If the PLUS loan origination record is returned with an X in that status flag field, the LOC will later send a PLUS Credit Decision Acknowledgment (message class DIPC99OP) indicating approval or denial of credit on those loans in pending status.
