| PublicationDate: 7/1/98 BulletinID: DLB - 98 - 26 July 1998 DLB-98-26 Subject: Additional 732-LOS File Dear Colleague: Due to the number of requests from schools for an additional 732-LOS file, the Department will process a 732-LOS file for all schools on July 10, 1998. Schools should receive this additional 732-LOS file on July 13, 1998. As described in Direct Loan Bulletins 98-14 and 98-20, the 732-LOS file reflects all 1995-96 and 1996-97 cash and loan records on the Loan Origination Center (LOC) database. The file processed on July 10, 1998, will provide each school with the Departments official ending cash balance as of July 10, 1998. The file will take into account all transactions and corrections that have been submitted to the LOC since June 12, 1998, the date of the last 732-LOS file. These transactions and corrections have been previously reported to schools on a weekly basis in the 732-LOS-C file. This additional 732-LOS file will have the same message class as the previous 732-LOS files and will be sent as two ASCII test files: a summary file (DIS497OP) and a detail file (DIS597OP). As the Department is providing schools with this additional 732-LOS file, there will not be a 732-LOS-C file produced for the week ending July 10, 1998. The next scheduled 732-LOS-C file will be produced for the week ending July 17, 1998, and will reflect only activity since the June 12, 1998, 732-LOS. Please Note: There will be a final 732-LOS file produced after the July 31, 1998, processing deadline that will provide schools with the Departments final ending cash balance for the 1995-96 and 1996-97 Direct Loan Program years. The final 732-LOS file will be processed once the LOC has completed all manual corrections that have been submitted to the LOC by the July 31, 1998, processing deadline. The LOC will not accept any new requests for manual corrections to 1995-96 and 1996-97 loan records after July 31, 1998. The LOC will continue to make manual corrections after the July 31, 1998, processing deadline until all corrections have been completed. Weekly 732-LOS-C files will continue to be produced after July 31, 1998, reflecting these LOC manual corrections. Once the LOC has completed processing all manual corrections, the Department will notify all schools of the processing date of the final 732-LOS.
