Developed by the Department of Education with input from parents and financial aid administrators, the booklet is a comprehensive guide for current and prospective Direct PLUS Loan borrowers. It covers various topics from loan eligibility requirements and application procedures to the consequences of default, loan discharge, and loan consolidation. A directory of important phone numbers and addresses, a repayment chart showing estimated monthly payments, consumer tips for borrowing, and a quick reference to frequently asked questions are also included. This new publication will be available on the Direct Loan web site at: Printed copies are available for distribution from the Loan Origination Center (LOC). Please call the LOC at 800/848-0978 to order copies, or use the order form included with the mailed version of this bulletin. You should receive your materials within two weeks of placing your order.
