| PublicationDate: 6/1/98 BulletinID: DLB - 98 - 20 June 1998 DLB-98-20 Subject: Interim 732-LOS Dear Colleague: The Department has received a number of requests from schools for a current file of all 1995-96 and 1996-97 cash and loan detail records on the Loan Origination Center (LOC) database. Therefore, the Department has decided to provide an interim 732-LOS file to all schools. Schools should receive this interim 732-LOS file on June 15, 1998. This interim 732-LOS file will reflect all the 1995-96 and 1996-97 cash and loan detail records on the LOC database through June 12, 1998. The interim 732-LOS file will provide each school with the Departments official ending cash balance as of June 12, 1998. The file takes into account all transactions and corrections that have been submitted to the LOC since April 24, 1998, the date of the initial 732-LOS file. These transactions and corrections have been previously reported to schools on a weekly basis in the 732-LOS-C file. The interim 732-LOS file will have the same message class as the initial 732-LOS file and will be sent as two ASCII text files: a summary file (DIS497OP) and a detail file (DIS597OP). As the Department is providing schools with the interim 732-LOS file, there will not be a 732-LOS-C file produced for the week ending June 12,1998. The next scheduled 732-LOS-C file will be produced for the week ending June 19, 1998, and will reflect only activity since the interim 732-LOS. There will be a final 732-LOS file produced after the July 31, 1998, processing deadline that will provide schools with the Departments final ending cash balance for the 1995-96 and 1996-97 Direct Loan Program years.
