| PublicationDate: 5/1/98 BulletinID: DLB - 98 - 16 May 1998 SUBJECT: Reissue -- Direct PLUS Loan Repayment Chart Dear Colleague: This bulletin replaces Direct Loan Bulletin 97-45, which discussed the Direct PLUS Loan Repayment Chart. DLB 97-45 was not mailed because of errors on the chart. The Direct PLUS Loan Repayment Chart allows parents to see at a glance approximately how much they would repay -- per month and in total -- under the three repayment plans that are available to PLUS borrowers. Payment amounts are based on the maximum PLUS loan interest rate, and are provided for debt levels ranging from $2,500 to $150,000. In addition, the chart includes a summary of the Standard, Extended, and Graduated repayment plans. The chart is enclosed with this bulletin. The Direct PLUS Loan Repayment Chart will be available in the near future on the Direct Loan web site at http://www.ed.gov/DirectLoan. Printed copies will be available for distribution from the Loan Origination Center in late June or early July. At that time, please call the Loan Origination Center at 800/848-0978 to order copies, or use the order form included with the mailed version of this bulletin. You should receive your materials within two weeks of placing your order.
