| PublicationDate: 12/1/97 BulletinID: DLB - 97 - 46 December 1997 DLB-97-46 SUBJECT: PLUS Endorser Forms Dear Colleague: In response to school requests, the Loan Origination Center (LOC) is making blank PLUS loan endorser forms available for school use. If you have Federal Direct PLUS applicants who you are aware are likely to have an adverse credit history, you may choose to give endorser forms to the parents to submit with their original Federal Direct PLUS Application and Promissory note. Schools interested in pursuing this option may request both Federal Direct PLUS Loan Endorser forms and instruction sheets by calling 1/800/848-0978, or faxing a request to the Direct Loan Origination Center (LOC) at 1/800/557-7396. When using these forms, schools must be sure to clearly print the full PLUS loan ID in the box at the bottom left of the endorser form. This number links the endorser form to the correct PLUS loan application. If the PLUS loan ID is not printed in this box, the LOC will not be able to process the endorser form.
