Subject: 2018-2019 SAR Comment Codes and Text Guide (October 2017)
We are pleased to announce the posting of an update to the 2018-2019 SAR Comment Codes and Text reference guide. The reference guide is designed as a stand-alone guide as well as a companion to the 2018-2019 EDE Technical Reference. The guide includes a description of changes to the Student Aid Report (SAR) comments for 2018-2019, and also provides the complete text for all 2018-2019 comments.
In the October 2017 version of the guide, we updated the “Action Needed” guidance for comments 046, 105, 109, 142, 144, 400, and 401. We also revised the G-845 secondary confirmation process notes under the DHS Secondary Confirmation Match in the Database Match Results section. For more information, consult the Change History Table added to the beginning of the guide.
