Subject: 2012-2013 ISIR Guide (June 2012 Update)
We are pleased to announce the posting of an update to the 2012-2013 ISIR Guide. The ISIR Guide assists financial aid administrators (FAAs) in interpreting student information on the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR). ISIRs contain processed student information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), as well as key processing results and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) financial aid history information. ISIRs are sent electronically to institutions by the Central Processing System (CPS).
The June 2012 update contains revisions to add new NSLDS postscreening codes for students who have exceeded, are close to exceeding, or are no longer exceeding or at risk of exceeding their maximum Federal Pell Grant (Pell Grant) eligibility. For additional information about upcoming system updates related to the Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU) process, refer to the June 29, 2012 Electronic Announcement posted on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site.
This update also includes an expanded description of the conditions causing Reject 21 in Appendix A.
For more information about the revisions, consult the tracking log of changes posted with the guide or Appendix F in the updated guide.
