Federal Student Aid (FSA) offices and contact centers will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025, to observe the Christmas Day federal holiday and again on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, to observe the New Year’s Day federal holiday.
In addition, on Dec. 18, 2025, the President signed an Executive Order closing the federal government on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, and Friday, Dec. 26, 2025. Our federal offices will be closed on both days.

FPS
The FAFSA Processing System (FPS) will accept data on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025, and Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, but will not process data or send Institutional Student Information Records (ISIRs) until Friday, Dec. 26, 2025 (for data received on the 25th) and Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 (for data received on the 1st).
COD System
The Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System will accept and process data from schools and send back responses/acknowledgments on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025, and Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, but schools will not be able to receive any federal funds on that day. Requests for changes in funding levels and funds will not be processed until Friday, Dec. 26, 2025 (for data received on the 25th) and Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 (for data received on the 1st).
