FSA Partner Connect serves as the digital front door, one-stop-shop for all Federal Student Aid (FSA) and partner engagement. The main features of Partner Connect include account capabilities such as a dashboard tailored to partner users, easier access to school profile information, integrated views of student and borrower account information, and the student’s view of StudentAid.gov for school staff providing customer support to students. Partner Connect also provides access to the Knowledge Center, the Federal Student Aid Handbook, and FSA Training Conference information. In December 2023, the redesign and migration of the new Application for Approval to Participate in the Federal Student Financial Assistance Programs (E-App) was completed.
In July 2025, FSA Partner Connect will become the primary enrollment and user management service for FSA, allowing partners to enroll for access to FSA services and systems and to exchange information via the SAIG. We will add Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) enrollment functionality to FSA Partner Connect and the SAIG Enrollment website will be retired.
To prepare for this important transition, the SAIG Enrollment website will no longer be available to users after June 12, 2025.
Users do not need to take any action to maintain their current access or enrollment. During the transition period and then following the July 2025 implementation in FSA Partner Connect, authorized users will continue to access FSA systems and services and exchange data over the SAIG as they normally would.
For new or updated enrollments, refer to the “SAIG Enrollment Processing Impacts During Transition Period” section below for important information about actions that are needed by June 12, 2025, to ensure changes are processed in a timely fashion.
In this announcement, we provide key details about the new FSA Partner Connect features that will be available and important enrollment processing impacts that partners need to note.
The new FSA Partner Connect features we will implement are as follows:
-
SAIG Enrollment for Accessing FSA Systems and Services and for Exchanging Data – We will transition functionality from the SAIG Enrollment website to FSA Partner Connect for partners to complete all enrollment actions for accessing and exchanging data with FSA services and systems.
-
Electronic Signatures – With the move to the new platform, partners will no longer need to mail paper signature forms or email scanned copies of signature forms. Instead, all actions requiring a signature will be completed through an electronic signature process.
-
Online Submission for Foreign Schools – Currently, foreign schools are required to complete enrollments or make updates using the paper version of the SAIG Enrollment Form. Following the transition, foreign schools will be able to enroll or make updates through FSA Partner Connect.
In June, we will provide details about upcoming training opportunities for partners to learn more about these new features.
To implement SAIG enrollment functionality in FSA Partner Connect in July 2025, we must cease use of the SAIG Enrollment website after June 12, 2025. This transition period is necessary to migrate the data from the old system to the new system.
After June 12, 2025, users will no longer be able to sign in to the SAIG Enrollment website. Users should ensure all necessary actions related to SAIG enrollment are completed in advance of this date. The FPS Help Desk (1-800-330-5947 or support@fps.ed.gov) will continue to be available for enrollment questions until June 12.
The processing of SAIG enrollment changes during the transition period will be impacted as follows:
-
Signature pages submitted to the FPS Help Desk for enrollment actions completed on or before June 12 will be processed if they are received by the FPS Help Desk by June 12 and they are completed correctly by the user. Signature pages received after June 12 or incomplete forms may not be processed.
-
Signatures pages submitted to the FPS Help Desk for actions not finalized in the SAIG Enrollment system on or before June 12 will be rejected. These actions will need to be completed via FSA Partner Connect after the July implementation and signatures will be completed through the electronic signature process. Paper forms (mailed or scanned and sent via email) will not be accepted by FSA Partner Connect.
As we transition SAIG enrollment functionality from SAIG Enrollment to FSA Partner Connect, there will also be a period of transition for the contact centers:
-
After June 12, 2025, the FPS Help Desk will no longer be able to answer questions about SAIG enrollment.
-
After June 12 but prior to the July implementation in FSA Partner Connect, the FSA Partner and School Relations Center will be available to answer general SAIG enrollment questions.
-
After implementation is complete in July, the FSA Partner and School Relations Center will be available to assist users with all enrollment and user management questions, including assistance with specific user issues.
Note: The FPS Help Desk will continue to be available to answer questions about SAIG file transmissions, mailboxes, and software, as well as questions about the FAFSA Processing System (FPS), the EDExpress for Windows software, and Two Factor Authentication (TFA) tokens.
Please refer to the following section for contact information for each center.
