Final Reminder! Perform Mandatory SAIG Software Upgrade and Install EDconnect Security Patch by Feb. 20, 2022

As a final reminder before the fast-approaching Feb. 20, 2022 deadline, the latest version of Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) software—EDconnect or TDClient—must be installed by all users. As we have described in multiple Electronic Announcements, this upgrade is necessary to comply with an important federal mandate to improve email and web security.

Critical Information for EDconnect Users!

All users must complete their upgrades now to EDconnect 8.5.0, followed by the required 8.5.1 security patch.

Both the main software file (EDconnect 8.5.0) and the security patch (EDconnect 8.5.1) must be installed by Feb. 20.

After Feb. 20, older versions of EDconnect will no longer connect to the SAIG and cannot be used to send/receive transmissions.

If you have not upgraded to EDconnect 8.5.0 and 8.5.1 by Feb. 20, you will lose access to the SAIG.

All required software is available for download on the Software and Other Tools page of the Knowledge Center website.

We greatly appreciate the work of TDClient users who have completed their upgrades. No further action is needed by these users.
