2021 Virtual Federal Student Aid Training Conference – Virtual Event Platform Now Open

The 2021 Virtual Federal Student Aid Training Conference for financial aid professionals is fast approaching! The conference (Nov. 30–Dec. 2, 2021) will feature three days of keynote addresses from U.S. Department of Education leadership, general sessions, foreign school sessions, and breakout sessions covering the latest in financial aid policy, COVID-related impacts, and operational updates.

Virtual Platform Is Open!

To assist you with preparing for the conference, the 2021 Virtual FSA Training Conference Event Platform (https://2021fsatc.us.chime.live) is now available for you to log in and build your schedule, view speaker bios, set up your electronic business card, and begin exploring the virtual Resource Center.

To get started, look for an email from mobilesolutions@chime.live that will be sent to all registered participants beginning today, Nov. 22, 2021. This email contains important information you will need to access the conference platform, including a link to the platform, your unique username, and a temporary password.

Tutorial Available

Check out our tutorial to help you become familiar with the platform. The brief tutorial provides helpful tips about logging in, navigation, building a personal schedule, and how to find the resources you need during the conference. You can view the tutorial here or from the link on the FSA Conferences homepage. The tutorial is also available from the main menu on the virtual platform, after you have logged in.

If you can’t find the email from mobilesolutions@chime.live, check your spam folder. If you still can’t locate the email, go to the log in page of the platform and choose “Forgot password?” If you need further assistance, contact us at supportcenter-chime@encore-us.zendesk.com between 7 a.m.–8 p.m. Eastern time (ET), Monday through Friday.

Session content will be available for viewing when the conference begins at 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021. All sessions are pre-recorded but many include live Q&A, so be sure to check out the conference agenda and plan your viewing schedule.

Do you still need to register for the conference? Go to the FSA Conferences website and choose “Register Here” on the home page to complete your free registration.

Tips for Using the Virtual Platform

For optimal viewing during the conference

  • Google Chrome is the recommended browser for the platform.

  • Close all other applications on your computer.

  • To avoid buffering, ensure no one else in your home or office is using excessive bandwidth for applications such as Zoom, Netflix, or gaming platforms.

  • Platform FAQs are available on the FSA Conferences website to provide answers to common questions about the platform.

  • For tips on how to participate in live Q&A during the conference, refer to the Session Q&A job aid that is available on the FSA Conferences website.
