As we announced earlier this year, the 2021 Federal Student Aid Training Conference for financial aid professionals will once again be delivered virtually. The conference dates are Nov. 30–Dec. 2, 2021. We are committed to continuing to provide meaningful and beneficial training experiences in a virtual environment and pleased to inform you that five reference materials—agenda for live sessions, agenda for on-demand sessions, session descriptions, presenter biographies, and resource center information—are now available for you to check out in preparation for registration later this year in October.
Agendas and Other Reference Materials
The 2021 Virtual Federal Student Aid Training Conference has something for everyone. There will be keynote addresses from U.S. Department of Education leadership, five general sessions, three foreign school sessions, and 26 breakout sessions covering the latest in financial aid policy, COVID-19 related impacts, and operational updates.
The 2021 Virtual Federal Student Aid Training Conference agendas, session descriptions, presenter biographies, and resource center information are located on the FSA Conferences website and via the following links:
Important
All session times are provided in Eastern time. Sessions are scheduled to begin mid-morning, to accommodate multiple time zones.
Mark your calendars and continue to spread the word to your financial aid colleagues!
R2T4 and COVID-19 Questions
This year, our experts will be responding to questions from the community submitted prior to the conference about Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4) and COVID-19/CARES Act requirements.
Though the Department will review all questions submitted, due to presentation time constraints it may not be possible to incorporate all the questions received into the sessions. Presenters will focus on questions with the broadest appeal and those that include the most serious concerns within the higher education community.
To ensure your questions will be considered for inclusion in the Department’s presentations, please submit your questions via email by Sept. 3, 2021, and include “FSA Conference Question” in the subject line of your email.
-
For R2T4 questions, email R2T4ConferenceQuestions@ed.gov.
-
For COVID-19/CARES Act questions, email COVID-19ConferenceQuestions@ed.gov.
Note: Questions submitted to the Department through this process will not receive an individual response. If your questions are not addressed within the formal presentation and/or you still have outstanding issues, please send your questions through the Customer Support form in the FSA Partner Connect Help Center and select “FSA Ask-A-Fed/Policy” as the topic.
Coming Next
We will next communicate with you in October 2021 when we open registration. In addition to providing the link you will use to register for the conference, we will provide another resource to assist you with session selection and a training video to assist you with accessing the conference platform.
