We wish to alert schools that all functionality for the 2020–21 cycle will no longer be available on the FAA Access to CPS Online website, and the 2020–21 functionality will be shut down on Sept. 12, 2021, two weeks earlier than a typical year. Implementation of the new cycle and corresponding shutdown of the cycle being retired typically occurs at the end of September, just prior to the October 1 start-up date for the new processing cycle, but is occurring several weeks earlier this year to accommodate integration and migration activities between the fafsa.gov website with the Central Processing System (CPS).
Schools must report Identity Verification Results, request any Institutional Student Aid Records that need to be sent, and identify and resolve any outstanding 2020–21 student issues requiring further action as soon as possible in advance of this upcoming shutdown.
2021–22 functionality for the FAA Access to CPS Online website will remain available after Sept. 12, 2021, and is not affected by the 2020–21 shutdown.
