New Document Center for Program Compliance Documents

At the 2019 Federal Student Aid (FSA) Training Conference for Financial Aid Professionals, we announced the creation of the Partner Eligibility and Oversight Services (PEOS) Document Center, part of our ongoing efforts to improve our school partners’ experience with managing the federal student aid programs.

The new Document Center, now available on the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) website, is a centralized electronic repository of documents that allows school users and affiliated third-party servicers to electronically upload program compliance documents. Program compliance documents are documents that support the five core business processes of PEOS: eligibility and certification, audit resolution, program review, financial analysis, and method of payment.

Key features of the new Document Center include the ability to securely upload program compliance documentation via the COD website for FSA review, notifications about FSA document requests via the School Dashboard, and a search feature to view or download previously uploaded school documentation. This new functionality will increase the efficiency and timeliness of the compliance processes as well as create a more secure method of exchanging documents between FSA and its partners.

To assist FSA’s partners with using the new Document Center, we are pleased to announce the availability of an online training module providing detailed information on the following topics:

  • What is Partner Eligibility and Oversight Services?

  • Benefits of using the Document Center

  • How authorized school and third-party servicer users access the Document Center

  • Functions available in the Document Center

The Partner Eligibility and Oversight Services Document Center training module is available on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) website’s Media Files (Podcast) page. A copy of the presentation slides and transcript are also available on this page.
