OUTAGE ALERT – IRS DRT Outage on April 12, 2020 (Updated April 8, 2020)

Note: On April 8, 2020, we updated this announcement to reflect new outage information. The outage is now scheduled to end at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 12, 2020.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) will be unavailable on Sunday, April 12, 2020, from midnight to 4 p.m. Eastern time (ET) as the IRS completes critical system upgrades. During this outage period, users may access fafsa.gov, the myStudentAid mobile app, and the Income-Driven Repayment (IDR) Plan Request. However, if an action requires entry of federal tax information, the tax information will need to be provided manually. Applicants may wish to complete the application after the outage is over.

We apologize for the inconvenience this outage may cause and appreciate your patience as the IRS completes these important upgrades.
