Federal Student Aid (FSA) is pleased to offer a pre-conference training opportunity for new financial aid administrators (FAA). Join new colleagues with similar experience and FSA staff for a day-long training to strengthen basic federal financial aid knowledge and your toolkit of FSA resources. The pre-conference training will occur on Monday, Dec. 2 with the FSA Training Conference beginning on Tuesday, Dec. 3 through Friday, Dec. 6.

What: FSA New FAA Pre-Conference Training
When: Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Where: Reno-Sparks Convention Center
We will cover the following topics during the session:

Operating in FAA Access to Central Processing System (CPS) Online - The Basics and Scenarios

Student Eligibility

Need Analysis and Packaging (Operational Basics of Title IV)

Operating in COD Web - The Basics and Scenarios

Operating in the NSLDS® website - The Basics and Scenarios

Conclusion, Resources, Questions and Answers
The day will conclude with suggested tracks that will outline recommended sessions throughout the FSA Training Conference aimed at content and discussions about your tasks as a new FAA.
Registration Information
To participate, new FAAs should complete a brief registration form.
Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, as an introductory-level training session, we ask that schools limit registration to staff who are new to the financial aid office.
As a reminder, travel, accommodations, and meals are the responsibility of the participant.
Note: This pre-conference training opportunity does not supplement or replace FSA fundamental trainings required of some schools and that are offered throughout the regions on an annual basis.
