Subject: Availability of 2019–20 CPS Test System Data Files and Comment Code Text
We are pleased to announce the availability of test application and Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) data files and ISIR Comment Code text for use with the mainframe portion of the 2019–20 Central Processing System (CPS) Test System on the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at https://fsadownload.ed.gov.
The mainframe portion of the CPS Test System is designed to test application and correction data processing between your system and the CPS outside the production environment. You can use the posted CPS test files of application records and matching ISIRs or you can create and submit your own application records. The 2019–20 CPS Test System will be released for use on September 30, 2018.
To download the 2019–20 CPS test application, ISIR, and comment code text files, go to the “Technical References and Guides” section of the FSAdownload Web site and click the “2019-2020 DRAFT” link under “CPS Test System.”
Schools and servicers interested in using the CPS Test System should download and review the 2019-2020 CPS Test System User Guide for more information. The guide is available on the FSAdownload Web site in the same location as the test data files.
Important Note: The CPS will not process responses to submissions of 2019–20 test data until 2019–20 processing begins on October 1, 2018.
