Subject: Reminder: Update on Printing and Distribution of FSA Publications
We want to remind the community that after August 30, 2018, we will no longer print or deliver Federal Student Aid (FSA) publications. This is the final stage of a transition away from paper publications over the past several years. We encourage you to review your current inventory of FSA publications and, if needed, to order publications at FinancialAidToolkit.ed.gov/orderpubs. We will continue to accept and fill orders received through August 30 (as inventory levels allow).
FSA’s current offering of publications and resources will continue to be available electronically:
-
You can visit FinancialAidToolkit.ed.gov/resources for tools and resources (including electronic versions of publications) that you can use in your financial aid awareness outreach to students and parents.
- Please direct students and parents to StudentAid.gov/resources so they can view electronic versions of publications, fact sheets, online tools, and other resources to help them prepare and pay for college or career school. StudentAid.gov is FSA’s informational website for students, parents, and borrowers.
- Publications and resources for postsecondary schools will continue to be available on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) website at IFAP.ed.gov as well as on StudentLoans.gov.
Please note: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form will continue to be made available in paper form.In summer 2018, we will provide guidance on StudentAid.gov for how students and parents can request paper copies of the FAFSA PDF after the August 30 distribution shutdown.
Additionally, guidance regarding paper Direct Loan Master Promissory Notes and the Entrance Counseling and Exit Counseling Guides was provided to postsecondary schools in a June 6, 2018, Electronic Announcement.
