Subject: OUTAGE ALERT - Federal Student Aid Website and System Outage February 11-12, 2017

On February 11-12, 2017, we plan to execute extended website maintenance and operating system upgrades to the e-Campus-Based (eCB) website. In addition, the self-service menu for Two-Factor Authentication (TFA) will be impacted. This work is in addition to the regular weekly maintenance that occurs each weekend.

Please review the information below and evaluate the impact on your school or organization during the outage period.

Outage for eCB

From 4:45 P.M. (ET) on Saturday, February 11 until 11:00 A.M. (ET) on Sunday, February 12, users will not be able to log in to the eCB website. Users attempting to access the eCB website during this period will receive an error message informing them that the page cannot be found.

Outage for TFA Self-Service Menu Options

In addition, TFA self-service menu options will not be available from 4:45 P.M. (ET) on Saturday, February 11 until 11:00 A.M. (ET) on Sunday, February 12, on the professional websites and systems that require TFA upon login. TFA is the process by which an authorized user is required to log in to a Federal Student Aid system with an FSA User ID, password, and a One-Time-Password (OTP) generated by a registered token device.

During this outage period, authorized users will be able to log in to systems that require TFA (except eCB, as described above) but will not be able to use self-service menu options such as Register/Maintain Token, Change Password, or Forgot Password.

We apologize for the inconvenience this outage may cause and appreciate your patience as we complete this important upgrade.
