Subject: 2017-2018 EDE Techincal Reference (Final)
We are pleased to announce the posting of the complete version of the 2017-2018 Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) Technical Reference. The EDE Technical Reference provides programmer specifications, record layouts, and other detailed information for schools or other organizations that need to design software systems to interface with Federal Student Aid's application processing system.
The posting adds 2017-2018 versions of the Cover, Table of Contents, Overview, EDE Processing, Processing Codes, and Printing sections. We also included the Record Layouts section and an updated Processing Codes section which was modified from the draft posted in May 2016, in this posting.
In addition to its current availability on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, the technical reference will also be available in the next several days from the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at https://www.fsadownload.ed.gov.
