Subject: 2016-2017 ISIR Guide (April 2016 Update)

We are pleased to announce the posting of an update to the 2016-2017 ISIR Guide. The ISIR Guide assists financial aid administrators (FAAs) in interpreting student information on the Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR). ISIRs contain processed student information reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) as well as key processing results and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS®) financial aid history information. ISIRs are sent electronically to institutions by the Central Processing System (CPS).

In the April 2016 version of the guide, we revised contact information and hours of operation for the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC) and updated the names associated with Federal Loan Servicer Loan Servicing Code 700501 and Federal Loan Servicer Code 501. For more information, consult the Change History Table added to the beginning of the guide.

In addition to its current availability on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) Web site, the guide will also be available in the next several days from the Federal Student Aid Download (FSAdownload) Web site, located at https://fsadownload.ed.gov.

If you have questions, contact CPS/SAIG Technical Support at 800/330-5947 (TDD/TTY 800/511-5806) or by e-mail at CPSSAIG@ed.gov.
