Subject: Early FAFSA Electronic Announcement #3 - Availability of the 2017-2018 Early FAFSA Information Page on the Information for Financial Aid Professionals (IFAP) website

This Electronic Announcement is the third in a series of announcements providing the community with important information about the development and implementation of the FAFSA® changes announced by President Obama on September 14, 2015 (see Early FAFSA Electronic Announcement #1) including the October 1, 2016 earlier launch date, and the use of prior-prior year income and tax information.

To provide the financial aid community with easy-to-access information and resources relating to the 2017-2018 Early FAFSA, we have created an Early FAFSA Information page on IFAP. The Early FAFSA Information page will include easy links to, relevant Dear Colleague Letters, Electronic Announcements, webinars, and other Early FAFSA resources. Because we will be updating the Early FAFSA Information page on a regular basis, institutions are urged to check the Early FAFSA webpage often.

Finally, as we announced in Early FAFSA Electronic Announcement #2, we have developed an "Early FAFSA" mailbox as a way for the community to contribute thoughts, ideas, and concerns that they believe we should consider as we move forward on the implementation of the 2017-2018 Early FAFSA. The email address of the "Early FAFSA" mailbox is earlyfafsafeedback@ed.gov. Although we will not be able to reply to individual messages, we will carefully review all messages received as we continue with our implementation of the Early FAFSA.

If you have any questions about the information provided on the 2017-2018 Early FAFSA webpage please contact earlyfafsafeedback@ed.gov.
