Subject: Testing of Microsoft Windows 8 Operating System with EDESuite PC Products

We have completed testing of Microsoft Windows 8 as an operating system for our EDESuite PC products. While this message does not constitute an announcement of official support for Windows 8, we are aware that many schools are already using Windows 8 successfully as an operating system with our PC products, and our testing results indicate that schools should be able to proceed with use of Windows 8 without encountering any major issues.

During our testing, we used the 32-bit Windows 8 Professional operating system on PCs with varying hardware for the following EDESuite products:

  • EDExpress for Windows 2015-2016, Release 2.0

  • Direct Loan (DL) Tools for Windows, Release 15.0

During our testing, we did not identify any issues that would prevent users from running EDESuite PC products in the Windows 8 environment.

Note: We have not yet tested the Microsoft Corporation’s Windows 10 as an operating system for the EDESuite PC software products, including the EDExpress and DL Tools software. We do not currently have a projected date for Windows 10 compatibility testing. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
