Subject: Forthcoming SAIG Updates

We would like to inform the community of several updates impacting the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG), including a change to the Web address (URL) for the Transaction Delivery Community Manager (TDCM) Web portal, as well as a forthcoming update to the TDClient transmission software and to several pieces of SAIG user documentation.

In the following sections we provide a description of each update.

TDCM URL Change

The TDCM Web portal (also referred to as the SAIG Mailbox portal) provides users with the ability to view SAIG network traffic, restore previously received files, and change passwords.

The URLs for the TDCM portal and TDCM test portal have been updated to remove the “www.” The previous URLs will no longer function after January 24, 2016.

To ensure access to the upgraded TDCM portal, please use the following new URLs:

TDCM portal - https://saigportal.ed.gov/tdcm

TDCM test portal - https://saigportaltst.ed.gov/tdcm

Software and User Documentation Updates

We are pleased to announce the following forthcoming updates to the TDClient software and to EDconnect, TDClient, and TDCM user documentation:

  • TDClient 3.2.2 will be updated to be compatible for use with the Linux 64-Bit Operating System and Windows Server 2012. The TDClient Host Communications Guide will also be updated.

  • The EDconnect Installation and User Guide will be updated to reflect the URL change described above and the fact that the software is currently compatible with Windows Server 2008 and 2012. The software itself is not changing.

  • The TDCM User Guide will be updated to reflect the URL change described above.

The updated TDClient software and all aforementioned user documentation will be available for download on the Federal Student Aid Download (FSADownload) Web site in the near future. Please monitor the FSADownload Web site for an announcement that the updates are available.
