Subject: URL CHANGE ALERT - New URL for MYEDDEBT Web Site
Federal Student Aid's myeddebt Web site is the Department of Education's (the Department's) central portal for information about and activities related to the Department's collection of defaulted federal student loans and grant overpayments.
As part of Federal Student Aid's ongoing efforts to ensure the highest level of security for our systems and Web sites, we have changed the Web address (or URL) for the myeddebt site. Effective October 26, 2015, the new URL is https://myeddebt.ed.gov.

We have begun the process of updating links to myeddebt on our Web sites and in our materials. We have also put a redirect in place to assist as we and our external customers transition to the new URL. Although there is a redirect in place, we encourage members of the financial aid community to begin using the new URL and to update the following resources:
Personal browser bookmarks
Links on your organization's Web sites
References in your organization's electronic and paper communications to staff, students, and parents
