Subject: OUTAGE ALERT - Federal Student Aid Web Site and System Outages September 12 and 13, 2015
On September 12 and 13, 2015, we plan to execute extended Web site maintenance and operating system upgrades to several Federal Student Aid Web sites and systems. This work is in addition to the regular weekly maintenance that occurs each weekend.
This announcement provides information about the Web sites and systems that will be affected during the extended maintenance periods. Please review the information in this announcement and evaluate the impact on your school or organization during the periods when the affected Web sites and systems will be unavailable.
SAIG File Submission Impact on September 12, 2015
From 4:00 A.M. (ET) until 3:00 P.M. (ET) on Saturday, September 12, 2015, file transmissions via the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) will be interrupted. Users attempting to transmit files via the SAIG during an outage period using either EDconnect or TDClient software will receive an error message informing them that the SAIG is unavailable. Data must be transmitted at a later time, after the outage is complete.

From 4:00 A.M. (ET) until 3:00 P.M. (ET) on Saturday, September 12, 2015, users will be unable to access many of our Web sites and systems. Users attempting to access an impacted Web site or system during this period will receive an error message informing them that the page cannot be found or that the site is unavailable due to maintenance.
