Subject: OUTAGE ALERT - Federal Student Aid Web Site and System Outages May 30-31, June 6-7, and June 13-14, 2015 (Updated June 3, 2015)
Note: On June 3, 2015 we updated this announcement by adding a new outage period for June 13-14, 2015. There is no change to the start and end time of the outage periods, or to the list of impacted Web sites and systems.
During the periods of May 30-31, June 6-7, and June 13-14, 2015, we plan to execute extended Web site maintenance and operating system upgrades to several Federal Student Aid Web sites and systems. This work is in addition to the regular weekly maintenance that occurs each weekend.
This announcement provides information about the Web sites and systems that will be affected during the extended maintenance periods. Please review the information in this announcement and evaluate the impact on your school or organization during the periods when the affected Web sites and systems will be unavailable.
SAIG File Submission Impact on May 30-31, June 6-7, and June 13-14, 2015
From 7:00 P.M. (ET) on the Saturday of the outage period until 11:00 A.M. (ET) on the Sunday of the outage period, file transmissions via the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) will be interrupted. Users attempting to transmit files via the SAIG during an outage period using the EDconnect software will receive an error message informing them that the SAIG is unavailable. Data must be transmitted at a later time, after the outage is complete.

From 7:00 P.M. (ET) on the Saturday of the outage period until 11:00 A.M. (ET) on the Sunday of the outage period, users will be unable to access many of our Web sites and systems. Users attempting to access one of the following Web sites or systems during these periods will receive an error message informing them that the page cannot be found or that the site is unavailable due to maintenance:
